About Us
The Centre was established in 1989. Combining the expertise and
resources of Royal Holloway, University of London, and the Museum and Library of the Order of St John its purpose is to raise money for
research, for the library and museum collections, and to disseminate
knowledge. It has regularly organised international conferences on the
military-religious orders since 1992. It has also sponsored the
publication of a textbook on The Crusades for the English National
School Curriculum.
